LEDs across the chest Light on the front and both shoulders, so they read as a dog from any angle — not one dot on a collar.

Reflective band Sewn in underneath as the backup. Run the battery flat halfway round and headlights still pick them up.

Sturdy D-ring The lead clips straight to the harness, so this replaces what they already wear instead of adding to it.

What you are buying.

A padded, no-pull harness with LEDs across the chest and shoulders. It makes its own light, so your dog shows up on an unlit lane or across a dark field — not only when headlights happen to catch them. The lead clips straight to it, so it replaces the harness they already wear rather than adding another thing to charge and lose.

Three modes, three kinds of dark

Steady — lit streets and pavements, where you want them outlined against everything else going on.
Slow flash — the park and the field, when they're off-lead and you're tracking them across distance.
Fast flash — roadsides and lanes, where you want a driver's eye pulled to them from as far back as possible.

Getting the size right

Measure around the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs, with them standing. Go by that number rather than the breed — two collies the same age can be two sizes apart.

Every size adjusts across the range shown, so the bands overlap. Between two sizes — or if they're deep-chested — go up. If it arrives wrong, send us the chest measurement and we'll post the right size out. You don't need to return the first one before we do.

Straight answers

How long does a charge last?

The battery is 300 mAh and takes about an hour and a half to fill from flat over USB-C. That gives roughly five hours on steady, and longer on either of the flash modes — comfortably a week of ordinary evening walks between charges.

Does it survive the rain?

It is made for walking in the rain and will take a downpour. It is not made for swimming, so take it off at the water and don't put it through the washing machine. Wipe the mesh with a damp cloth and let it dry somewhere warm but not on a radiator.

How much fits on the patch?

A name and a phone number, on two lines. Keep the name short — a long one has to be stitched smaller, which defeats the point of it being readable in a torch beam.

Should I put my address on it too?

No. A name and a mobile number is enough for someone to reach you. Your home address on a dog wandering about unattended is information you don't want strangers to have.

Will the light bother them?

The LEDs face outward, away from their eyes. Most dogs take no notice after the first wear. If yours is unsettled by anything new, put it on indoors for ten minutes before you go out.

Will it stop them pulling?

It's a padded vest that spreads pressure across the chest rather than the throat, which most owners find calmer to walk than a collar. It isn't a training device, and we won't pretend it is.

Can they wear it all day?

Better not to. Put it on for the walk and take it off afterwards, as you would any harness.

What this won't do

It makes your dog considerably easier to see. It doesn't make a dark road safe, and it's no substitute for a lead near traffic. We'd rather say that than sell you something on a promise we can't keep.
